Your life generates data.
You should have it too.

A high-precision, local-first Android geotracker. Record your journeys with dual-frequency satellite precision, keep a geographic history that belongs to you, and build a sovereign spatial memory.

THE CORE INTENT

Track more than a route.
Preserve a memory of your life.

Every day, you move through physical space. The mountain passes you conquered on your bike, the remote gravel trails you discovered, the winding paths through unfamiliar cities, and the routes that carried you home over the years.

Cloud platforms monetize your location traces or lock them behind proprietary walled gardens. But spatial data is irreplaceable: once a journey is lost, human memory cannot reconstruct every coordinate. FluxMap gives you the sovereign tools to record, archive, and explore your life's geographic journey with zero cloud reliance.

CORE ARCHITECTURE

Engineered for sovereignty and precision.

FluxMap is built from first principles for outdoor power users, cyclists, and geodetic enthusiasts who refuse to compromise on data custody or tracking quality.

100% Local-First Data Sovereignty

All tracks, waypoints, and raw observations are stored in on-device SQLite/Room tables. Synchronize with a folder you choose. There is no FluxMap account and no FluxMap cloud for recordings. Online maps still talk to the map provider you select. Optional diagnostics leave the device only after purpose-specific consent in a diagnostics-enabled build.

Multi-Engine Maps & Offline Regions

Switch freely between OpenStreetMap (raster), Mapbox (vector & satellite with custom vector road overlays), and Google Maps SDK. Define and download offline regions with a map-centered bounding box editor and cache size estimation.

Sensor-Assisted Stillness & Stop Detection

Eliminate phantom GPS drift when stationary. FluxMap uses on-device linear accelerometer and gyroscope fusion to pause track point generation during rest stops, and automatically records inspectable stop markers with start/end duration.

Hardware GNSS & Dual-Band Observability

Inspect live per-satellite C/N0 carrier-to-noise ratios across GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou. Capture high-rate raw GNSS measurements in deterministic .fluxraw container packages ready for RINEX 3.04 and RTK/PPP post-processing.

TELEMETRY DECONSTRUCTION

More than a simple polyline.

A recorded track in FluxMap is a multi-dimensional stream of velocity vectors, barometric gradients, and carrier phase telemetry. Hover over the profile to inspect.

SENSOR-ASSISTED STILLNESS FILTERING

Zero spiderweb drift at coffee stops.

Using on-device linear accelerometer energy and low-power gyroscope tracking, FluxMap distinguishes between genuine movement and stationary GPS multipath jitter, locking coordinate writes when you stop.

TWO-LAYER FLOATING ISLAND HUD

Track & segment boundary hierarchy.

During active recording, the Floating Island progress bar visualizes segments (main line) and track boundaries (glowing outline), color-coded by transport modes (cycling, hiking, transit).

THE FLUXMAP PRESET SYSTEM

Thirteen identities. One high-precision core.

In FluxMap, presets are not mere color palettes. They are typed layout policies that transform typography, information density, container geometry, and HUD docking for different outdoor environments.
